PhD scholarship in political ecology

I am recruiting a doctoral student to work with me as a graduate assistant in the Development, Societies, and Environments group at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability at the Université de Lausanne next year.  This is a decently paid position (4 days a week) of up to five year duration, with at least half the time dedicated to your PhD studies and up to half as my teaching/research assistant.  The topic of your PhD is open, though of course I will look favourably on topics that have a potential for topical, theoretical, or geographical synergies with me and my current team (for instance Vietnam, Madagascar, fire, deforestation, afforestation, agrarian change, etc.).

The announcement is visible here on the university’s recruitment website:

In English : http://bit.ly/31jSt4t

You must be operational in both French and English.  The thesis can be written in either language. The applications are due April 19, 2020.  Start date is September 1.  Feel free to contact me by email in the meantime with questions.
