I am recruiting a doctoral student to work with me as a graduate assistant in the Development, Societies, and Environments group at the Institute of Geography and Sustainability at the Université de Lausanne next year. This is a decently paid position (4 days a week) of up to five year duration, with at least half the time dedicated to your PhD studies and up to half as my teaching/research assistant. The topic of your PhD is open, though of course I will look favourably on topics that have a potential for topical, theoretical, or geographical synergies with me and my current team (for instance Vietnam, Madagascar, fire, deforestation, afforestation, agrarian change, etc.).
